How to Pay

Once confirmed... how do you pay?

Please send a check, to Dennis Parker within 14 days of confirmation of your reservation. If not received by this time, you will be notified and your dates will be re-opened for others.

You will then send a 2nd check after you use Beaver Island House for the electric used (remember to note the meter readings when you arrive and leave).

If you made an authorized improvements, please mail receipts to Dennis Parker for a reimbursement check.   Any reimbursements will be mailed back to you.  If you need his address, please contact us.

(FYI: If you have a trusted friend who wants to rent you would have to "recommend them" and we charge $850/week upfront instead of the family rate. Their requests are not taken until after family reservations have been settled each year usually starting in late May.)

Beaver Island House Family Rates are in two parts:

Family Rate Rent:
$35/night
- This is based on “a count” that includes the day you arrive through the night before you leave.
- You don't pay for the day you leave (kind like a hotel).

Rent Example:

if you stayed

August 24th-31st

you would owe $245

( 7 nights x $35 )

Family Rate Electricity:
$0.25/kilowatt hour (kWh)
- When you arrive, record the number on the meter that is to the left of the door.
- When you leave, record that number as well.
- TIP... put a note in your phone, so I don’t lose the paper.
- To calculate the electricity amount...
subtract those two numbers and multiply by the rate.

Electricity Example:

if your Beginning number was 04418

and your Ending number is 04552,

then your kilowatt hours

would be 134

and your electricity amount

would be $33.50

4552 kWh - 4418 kWh = 134 kWh

134 kWh x $0.25/kWh =  $33.50
